Forrest & Love's unique copper products, handcrafted in India, use only the highest quality, pure copper, which has been tested by the German independent organisation TÜV. The food-grade bottles contain 99.7% copper and no heavy metals or other harmful substances.

Cleaning tip: Put a tablespoon of citric acid or coffee machine cleaning tablets in the copper container. Pour in hot water and leave on for a few minutes. Shake well and rinse. Your copper dish will shine like new!

Note! Do not clean or scrub the outside of the dish, the lacquer surface may rub off. These fine copper dishes should be washed by hand and machine washing is not recommended. It's best to sip only bubble-free water from a copper flask!

Since ancient times, Ayurveda has talked about drinking copper water. According to Ayurveda, by keeping water in a copper container for about 6-8 hours (preferably through the night), the water becomes naturally alkaline. This is because the copper vessel charges the water with positive energy, making the water 'alive' again. It also makes the water taste silky smooth. Charged copper water helps bring balance to all the doshas (Vata, Kapha and Pitta). According to Ayurveda, this therapeutically transformed water is called 'Tamra Jal'.

Forrest & Love commissioned their own research to support the age-old knowledge of Ayurveda. According to them, copper vessels raise the PH of water to alkaline and copper has anti-bacterial properties - it sort of stretches itself. Modern science calls this the oligodynamic effect.
